Chartered in May 2001,
Philadelphia Baptist Church is an Independent, Fundamental, Bible-believing
work. This is a brief over-view of our Statement of Faith.

The Authorized Version of the Bible, commonly called the King James Version (KJV),
is the Word of God without error, and is the final authority for all faith and practice,

That the one and only true God is triune in nature (the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost)
and is the Creator, Supreme Ruler, Redeemer and Saviour of all mankind,

The accuracy of the Genesis account of creation, that the world was created in six
literal days and that God rested on the seventh day,

That man was created in the image of God before his fall from innocence. After
willfully transgressing against God, the sin nature is passed down on all mankind as
the descendants of Adam,

There exists a being, that is the Devil or Satan, who fell from his heavenly position
through pride, and his desire is to be worshipped as God, and his goal is to damn
every soul of man,

That the Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, and He atoned for all the sins
of mankind by His death at Calvary and His triumphant resurrection from the grave
three days later,

When a sinner repents (accepts their sinful condition and impending judgment) and
believes (trusting fully) on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, they are saved for
all eternity,

Those who are saved will spend eternity in Heaven, forever in the presence of Jesus
Christ our Lord,

Those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ will spend an eternity of torment, separated
from God in a literal place called the Lake of Fire,

After the Tribulation, Millennial Reign of Christ, and the Final Judgment, there will be
a New Heaven and a New Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Our Faith

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing
words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit
and of power: That your faith should not stand in the
wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
